About the role
Under the supervision of the Supply and Logistics Specialist, the Supply Associate will manage end‑to‑end supply chain activities for UNICEF Burundi. The role supports planning, procurement, and knowledge sharing to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
Key responsibilities
- Forecast, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate supply chain operations in line with programme work plans.
- Establish performance indicators and assess product and service fitness for purpose.
- Support emergency preparedness, including long‑term arrangements, logistics capacity assessments, contingency planning and pre‑positioning of stock.
- Assist with end‑to‑end procurement processes: sourcing, tendering, evaluation, contract management and purchase orders.
- Ensure compliance, value for money, sustainability, proper documentation and coordination with procurement services.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange, training, onboarding and capacity‑building initiatives across supply functions.
Required profile
- Experience in supply chain management, procurement or logistics within an international development context.
- Ability to work under supervision while taking ownership of tasks.
- Strong analytical and monitoring skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
