Senior Project Procurement Engineer (PUE Buyer)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Senior Project Procurement Engineer to lead PUE‑TG‑EMEA purchasing activities across Time‑to‑Market (TTM) and non‑TTM projects. You will act as the bridge between engineering, procurement and suppliers, ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality delivery in a multicultural, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute project‑based purchasing tasks for TTM and non‑TTM scopes within the EMEA region.
• Manage supplier performance and international stakeholder relationships to meet project milestones.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to streamline procurement processes.
• Lead Technical RPP projects, identify cost‑optimization opportunities and embed engineering value into products.
• Contribute to global Material Field Strategies and drive supplier selection for new TTM sourcing.
• Conduct technical negotiations and discussions with suppliers.
• Utilise advanced purchasing tools (SupplyOn, Pilum, eISIR, Sciforma) to document activities.
• Oversee initial part approval (ISIR) and ensure smooth handover to production and logistics.
• Create purchase and tool orders, maintaining alignment with PUE‑X and global partners.
• Participate in internal excellence projects to improve efficiency, speed‑to‑market and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing or the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of metal, rubber, plastic parts, PCBs and cables, with solid cost‑calculation skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and English language abilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically without restriction.
• Self‑motivated, responsible, analytical mindset with problem‑solving capabilities.
