Senior Naval Architect – Offshore Floating Systems

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking a Senior Naval Architect to join its Monaco office. You will lead the design, analysis, and supervision of floating offshore systems that support the company’s deep‑water energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop ship and offshore platform concepts for floating facilities.
• Perform structural, hydrodynamic and stability analyses using industry‑standard methods.
• Ensure all solutions comply with relevant regulations, classification society rules and internal standards.
• Review and validate technical drawings and documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and external partners.
• Mentor junior engineers and guarantee the technical quality of deliverables.

Required profile

• Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or a related field (master’s or professional certification is a plus).
• Extensive experience in ship and offshore platform design, preferably in offshore energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements and classification societies.
• Proven project‑management and teamwork abilities.
