About the role
Join Saint Louis University’s Gardens to Tables Culinary Camp as a Seasonal Culinary Camp Counselor. This paid, 8‑week summer internship runs from June 1 to July 31, 2026 (with a July 4 break) and includes a three‑day training period starting May 26, 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and engage campers in gardening, cooking, and nutrition activities.
- Assist with meal planning, procurement, and recipe modification under the guidance of a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
- Lead field trips and hands‑on culinary experiences.
- Uphold camp policies, ensure participant safety, and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Communicate professionally with campers, parents, and guardians.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Camp Director.
Required profile
- Background in education, recreation, physical education, or a related field.
- Experience supervising and teaching groups of children or teenagers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with an RDN and camp staff.
