SAP Technical Consultant

About the role

ABeam Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Technical Consultant to lead end‑to‑end ABAP design, development, and optimization for S/4HANA environments. You will work on custom code remediation, cloud implementations, and integration projects while collaborating closely with functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize ABAP Objects, CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services for S/4HANA.
• Implement solutions using RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and support SAP BUILD & Business Process Automation.
• Develop SAP BTP workflows and work on SAP Public Cloud implementations.
• Build and maintain interfaces via IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Proxy, REST, and SOAP APIs.
• Support SAP Fiori/UI5 backend services, integrations, and clean‑core principles.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Analyze production issues, lead root‑cause analysis, and ensure performance and security compliance.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Public Cloud and S/4HANA migrations.

Required skills

• ABAP development for S/4HANA, including custom code adaptation.
• CDS Views (basic, composite, consumption, analytical).
• SAP BUILD and SAP Business Process Automation.
• AMDP & HANA SQLScript.
• RAP/EML (preferred) and OData services (SEGW/RAP‑based).
• SAP Fiori backend enablement, UI5/Fiori frontend knowledge.
• IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Proxy, REST, SOAP APIs.
• Exposure to SAP BTP, CAP, or cloud integrations (preferred).
