Machine Operator – Auckland

About the role

This full‑time, permanent position is based at Steel & Tube's Highbrook facility in Auckland. You will operate specialised roll‑forming machinery to produce high‑quality steel components for the building and construction sector, while supporting broader warehouse activities.

Key responsibilities

• Safely run a range of roll‑forming machines, ensuring efficient production.
• Measure, cut and shape steel to precise specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections and package finished orders.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Perform general warehouse duties such as receiving goods, picking orders, and loading/unloading using forklifts or cranes.
• Collaborate with production teams, supervisors and drivers to meet on‑time delivery targets.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks safely.
• Strong commitment to health and safety procedures.
• Reliable attendance record and ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, steel production, or warehousing is highly regarded.
• Willingness to learn and progress through a defined skill‑level programme.
• Forklift and/or crane ticket is advantageous (training can be provided).
