Legal Associate

About the role

Tan Rajah & Cheah (TRC) is seeking a full‑time Legal Associate to join its on‑site team in Singapore. You will work across a range of dispute‑related matters, providing high‑quality legal advice and support to senior lawyers and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review legal documents, pleadings, and contracts.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda.
• Analyse complex legal issues and develop strategic case plans.
• Manage cases from inception to resolution, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with senior counsel on civil and commercial litigation, white‑collar and regulatory defence, matrimonial and family disputes, and arbitration/ADR matters.

Required profile

• Admission to the Singapore Bar.
• 2‑5 years of relevant dispute resolution experience.
• Strong foundation in law with solid understanding of legal principles and procedures.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Prior experience in dispute resolution or corporate law is an advantage.
