Laundry Manager

About the role

The Laundry Manager will lead the daily laundry operations at Cheval Blanc Seychelles, ensuring high‑quality garment care for guests and staff. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will oversee a team of laundry Ambassadeurs and manage all aspects of linen, uniform and guest‑clothing services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule laundry staff in receiving, washing, ironing, packaging and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Maison policies, health & safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain and monitor laundry machinery, coordinating maintenance and reporting issues.
• Manage uniform and linen rooms, conduct monthly inventories and control stock levels.
• Coordinate chemical supplies with purchasing and liaise with tailors for uniform needs.
• Oversee guest garment handling, addressing complaints and special requests.
• Implement training programs and conduct regular team meetings.
• Monitor linen care, including discards, fraying and upholstery material management.
• Report disciplinary matters to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Optimize workflow to deliver efficient and prompt laundry services.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a laundry or housekeeping team in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and chemical handling.
• Excellent organizational and inventory management abilities.
• Commitment to high standards of personal appearance, uniform care and hygiene.
• Ability to plan, delegate and supervise tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with purchasing, tailors and guest services.
• Proactive attitude towards health, safety and quality compliance.
