Internal Control Partner

About the role

Renmoney is looking for a detail‑oriented Internal Control Partner to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and support risk mitigation across the organisation. You will collaborate with multiple departments to identify weaknesses, recommend improvements, and uphold the company’s control framework.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls to guarantee compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Conduct daily reviews of account opening, deposits, loan disbursements, liquidations, expenses and related documentation.
• Perform periodic reviews of sales commissions, incentives for debt collectors and recovery teams.
• Provide assurance that controls are adequate, offering practical recommendations to minimise operational risk.
• Ensure staff adherence to internal codes of conduct, policies and transaction regulations.
• Execute periodic reconciliations, investigate variances and implement necessary controls.
• Leverage technology to automate routine control checks and deliver data‑driven risk insights.
• Identify significant business risks and support the continuous improvement of policies, procedures and processes.
• Coordinate revenue and quality assurance programmes to prevent revenue leakages.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments locally and globally that may impact the company.
• Oversee change‑management processes and ensure timely submission of regulatory returns.

Required profile

• B.Sc. degree in any discipline.
• Membership of a recognised risk or accounting professional body (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CFE, CIA, CISA, CISM, CRISC).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in internal control or audit functions.
• Strong knowledge of control frameworks and risk‑management principles.
