About the role
The Finance and Operations Manager will join the senior leadership team to provide strategic oversight of financial, operational, procurement and grant functions for FHI 360’s programs in Burundi. Reporting to the ESA Hub Finance Manager, the role ensures compliance with FHI 360 policies, U.S. Government regulations and local laws while driving efficiency and sustainability.
Key responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and expenditure analysis in coordination with HQ and ESA Hub.
- Ensure compliance with 2 CFR 200, FAR and Burundi fiscal requirements; oversee internal and external audits.
- Direct procurement, logistics, IT, administration and general services to support program delivery.
- Develop and implement operational procedures that improve cost‑effectiveness, accountability and service delivery across multiple offices.
- Manage sub‑awards and partner relationships, providing financial and operational oversight.
- Advise the Project Director and senior technical leadership on resource allocation, financial sustainability and risk management.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing large, complex donor‑funded programs.
- Strong judgment and ability to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills for high‑level interactions with donors, auditors, partners and government officials.
