eCommerce Operations Specialist (Brand New Role)

About the role

As an eCommerce Operations Specialist you will act as the bridge between technology and business, ensuring the online platform runs smoothly and continuously improves the customer experience. The role is hands‑on and offers significant growth potential within Macpac’s digital team.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day eCommerce platform operations, including SFCC backend tasks, GA4 ownership, Mandrill monitoring, system access, audits, indexing and overall platform stability.
• Support trading and operations by managing order reconciliation, vendor feeds, promotions, coupon setup, pricing issues, inventory accuracy and product availability.
• Coordinate operational and trading post‑implementation reviews (PIRs) for campaigns and seasonal periods, ensuring data accuracy and driving follow‑up actions.
• Monitor site health, resolve bugs, manage store hours, correct pricing errors, address inventory discrepancies and handle emergency product actions through ticketing.
• Analyse customer feedback, reviews and returns to identify opportunities for improving the online journey.
• Assist development releases, test new features and optimise site architecture and performance.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams, translating insights into actionable technical and business outcomes.

Required profile

Required skills

• Strong experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in at least one CMS such as Shopify or Magento.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) backend activities.
• Knowledge of GA4 and other website analytics tools.
• Experience with Mandrill monitoring and platform indexing.
• Data analysis skills applied to eCommerce operations.
