Digital Delivery Modeler Intern

About the role

This internship offers hands‑on experience in digital delivery for civil engineering projects, focusing on 3D modelling, BIM implementation and water‑infrastructure design. You will work closely with project teams to produce high‑quality technical drawings and models.

Key responsibilities

• Create and detail 3D models using Revit, C3D and related tools.
• Implement BIM processes and maintain model federation.
• Participate in technical discussions and project delivery meetings.
• Develop conceptual and detailed design drawings and documentation.
• Provide practical, cost‑effective solutions for project deliverables.
• Ensure drawings meet the highest quality standards and adhere to SMEC’s Management System, quality and OHS procedures.
• Assist project managers and engineers with site queries and reporting.
• Perform parametric modelling, rendering and model federation tasks.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Capable of managing personal and team drafting schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Interest in civil engineering and water‑infrastructure projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit and Autodesk software.
• Experience with C3D, QGIS, ACC/BIM360 and ProjectWise.
• Ability to model and detail to LOD 100‑500.
• Knowledge of parametric modelling and rendering techniques.
