Deputy Vice President – Procurement

About the role

Mandai Wildlife Group is seeking a Deputy Vice President – Procurement to lead the transformation of its procurement function. The role will combine strategic oversight with hands‑on execution, ensuring sourcing, contracting and vendor management operate smoothly while supporting the organization’s broader objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight of procurement activities and drive a strategic, value‑focused approach.
• Develop and execute a 1–3 year transformation roadmap covering technology, process and governance.
• Champion digitalisation initiatives such as AI‑driven analytics, robotic process automation (RPA) and end‑to‑end digital platforms for PO approvals and invoice matching.
• Redesign internal control policies to balance compliance with speed to market.
• Leverage spend data to generate insights for senior management and promote a unified procurement approach.
• Identify and develop competency gaps within the procurement team and act as a change agent for new policies and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience in procurement or contracts across technology, consultancy, marketing, events, construction, facilities management or related fields.
• Strong negotiation, contract management and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of procurement software and demonstrated leadership, team‑management and communication skills.
