Data Architect

About the role

The Data Architect will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, leading workshops in French, shaping requirements, and translating them into comprehensive data models that align with enterprise standards. This functional role offers real ownership at the intersection of business and technology within a global, distributed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate requirements and design workshops in French.
• Analyse, challenge, and structure business requirements.
• Translate functional needs into clear data specifications.
• Design end‑to‑end data models, ensuring consistency across Star Schema and Data Vault structures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to guarantee solutions reflect business intent.
• Maintain documentation and delivery artefacts using Jira and Confluence.
• Work effectively within Agile, squad‑based delivery teams across Mauritius, India, and Europe.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, modelling, or related roles.
• Strong communication skills in French (mandatory) and English.
• Proven ability to engage directly with business stakeholders and challenge requirements.
• Experience in Agile environments and distributed delivery models.

Required skills

• Data modelling concepts and design of end‑to‑end data models.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data workflows.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, Star Schema, and exposure to Data Vault.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Basic Python knowledge for reading data pipelines.
