Cards Acquiring Manager – Merchant Solutions

About the role

The Cards Acquiring Manager will drive growth of merchant acquisition across POS, SoftPOS, digital payment solutions, e‑commerce and wallet channels. You will build and nurture profitable relationships with SMEs, corporates and online merchants while ensuring high‑quality service and risk compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and recruit new merchants for POS, MPOS, SoftPOS, digital payments, ERP and till integrations.
• Develop and manage the full merchant lifecycle, from onboarding and POS installation to training and ongoing support.
• Monitor merchant turnover, optimise wallet share and retain existing accounts.
• Collaborate with Corporate & Business Banking teams and International Relationship Managers to generate cross‑sell opportunities.
• Lead and motivate the Cards Merchant Representatives and Operations Support teams.
• Ensure risk controls and compliance with pricing and profitability models.

Required profile

• Proven experience in merchant acquisition and payments solutions.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with corporate and SME clients.
• Ability to analyse transaction data and drive revenue growth.
• Leadership mindset to guide a team of merchant advisors.

Required skills

• POS terminal installation and troubleshooting (Level 2 technical issues).
• SoftPOS and digital payment platform knowledge.
• ERP and till integration concepts.
