About the role
Air New Zealand is seeking experienced ATR72-600 Flight Simulator Instructors to join its Flight Simulator Training team in Auckland. You will deliver high‑quality simulator and classroom instruction to develop the next generation of pilots and ensure safe, confident operations across the network.
Key responsibilities
- Provide flight simulator and classroom training for ATR pilots covering initial, recurrent and upgrade programmes.
- Conduct flight checks, assessments and evaluations in line with NZCAA Part 121 standards.
- Maintain accurate training records and monitor pilot performance.
- Collaborate with operational and training teams to uphold safety and performance standards.
- Coach and mentor pilots, fostering a culture of excellence.
Required profile
- Eligibility to live and work permanently in New Zealand (NZ citizen, permanent resident or Australian citizen).
- NZCAA CPL or ATPL with instructional experience.
- Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time.
- Eligibility to hold an NZCAA D‑Category Instructor Rating.
Required skills
- ATR72‑600 flight simulator operation.
- Knowledge of NZCAA Part 121 regulatory requirements.
- NZCAA D‑Category Instructor Rating.
