Associate or Senior Editor – Nature Progress Oncology

About the role

Springer Nature is launching a new open‑access journal, Nature Progress Oncology, and is looking for an Associate or Senior Editor to shape its editorial direction. You will work closely with the journal’s Editorial Board to publish high‑quality cancer research.

Key responsibilities

• Handle original research submissions and manage the full editorial workflow.
• Select manuscripts for review and oversee the peer‑review process.
• Make well‑reasoned editorial decisions based on expert advice.
• Determine the representation of oncology topics within the journal.
• Liaise extensively with the Editorial Board and external reviewers.

Required profile

• A passion for science and a desire to stay at the forefront of oncology research.
• Experience in cancer research or related biomedical fields.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and think quickly under pressure.
