Tax Assistant Manager

About the role

The Tax Assistant Manager supports the tax team by applying domestic tax legislation, case law and regulations to client engagements. This role combines technical tax analysis with client interaction and risk management, helping to deliver accurate tax compliance and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of domestic tax concepts, legislation and case law.
• Prepare and review tax analyses, computations and returns for simple to moderate fact patterns.
• Utilise local research tools, software and technology to produce technically accurate work.
• Apply tax risk‑management procedures consistently.
• Identify and escalate potential planning opportunities within the local tax environment.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with privacy policies.
• Attend mandatory tax training and apply new knowledge to client work.
• Communicate key tax issues to clients, revenue authorities and team members.
• Review junior staff work papers and assess the sufficiency of analyses.

Required profile

• CPA or Member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
• Experience in tax practice, advisory and, preferably, tax advocacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing teams.
