Solutions Champion – Public Computing

About the role

The Solutions Champion – Public Computing will lead the implementation phase of a region‑wide public computing transformation for Auckland Libraries. Working from a defined strategic direction, you will turn concepts into an enterprise‑ready solution that delivers equitable access for all Aucklanders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the public computing transformation, overseeing detailed planning, sequencing and rollout.
• Create clarity and alignment by translating discovery insights into a shared understanding of scope, requirements and constraints.
• Develop delivery, rollout and change plans that enable confident execution and measurable progress.
• Collaborate with library leaders, frontline teams, corporate technology, finance, procurement and external partners to keep delivery on track.
• Apply financial and commercial discipline, ensuring accurate costings, budgets and compliance with procurement processes.
• Manage delivery risk and operational readiness, identifying dependencies and impacts early.
• Support adoption and change through high‑quality communications and training plans.

Required profile

• Delivery‑focused and pragmatic, comfortable operating in ambiguous environments.
• Proven experience in enterprise‑scale initiatives with strong planning, business case development and financial analysis.
• Highly collaborative, able to build alignment across organisational levels.
• Experienced in project and change environments, preferably within public library or community services.
