Service Depot Technician – Research Devices (m/f/d)

About the role

As a Service Depot Technician you will perform in‑house repair, maintenance and calibration of Molecular Devices' Multimode Plate Reader platforms and validation plates. The position is based on‑site in Salzburg and is part of the European Service team.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and calibrate Multimode Plate Readers to agreed service levels.
• Test, troubleshoot, repair and recertify MultiMode Validation Plates.
• Document all activities and results in the CRM system following ISO 9001 procedures.
• Maintain adequate stock of service parts to support repair work.
• Collaborate with Service, Product Development, Operations and customers.

Required profile

• Basic education in electrical, electronics or mechatronics.
• Hands‑on mechanical aptitude and strong systems troubleshooting ability.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation.
• Results‑driven attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Required skills

• Electrical and electronic circuit knowledge.
• Mechanical, fluidic and optical system troubleshooting.
• Calibration procedures for plate‑reader instruments.
• Use of CRM databases for service documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 documentation standards.
