Retrieval Officer

About the role

The Retrieval Officer is responsible for managing overdue payments from customers who purchased phones through a Buy Now, Pay Later scheme. The role combines phone outreach and on‑site visits to understand payment issues, negotiate solutions, and, when necessary, recover the financed device.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers with overdue installments via phone and in‑person visits.
• Identify the cause of missed payments – financial hardship, misunderstanding, or refusal.
• Provide guidance, negotiate repayment options, and document outcomes.
• Initiate device recovery in accordance with company policy when repayment is not achieved.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and recovery status.

Required profile

• Strong communication and persuasive abilities.
• Resilient, result‑driven and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent conflict‑management and professional demeanor.
• Physically able to travel to multiple locations for field visits.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accurate documentation.
