Quality Staff Engineer

About the role

The Quality Staff Engineer reports to the Oceania Regional Regulatory Compliance Manager and is responsible for overseeing the Part‑145 Compliance Monitoring System (CMS) and Safety Management System (SMS) programmes for aircraft line‑maintenance operations in Australia and New Zealand. The role works closely with Panasonic Technical Services to ensure regulatory, customer and internal compliance across all maintenance sites.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret aviation policies, regulations and agency guidelines to guarantee compliance.
• Develop and maintain procedural frameworks that meet regulatory, customer and internal requirements.
• Maintain, assess and distribute all relevant regulatory documentation.
• Plan, conduct and complete audits at Panasonic Technical Services line‑maintenance locations.
• Record non‑conformances, assign remedial actions and monitor their timely resolution.
• Support customers and national aviation authorities during site certification or recertification audits.
• Assist with special audits and independent assessments as required.
• Continuously improve CMS and SMS programmes and collaborate with global teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation regulatory compliance, particularly Part‑145.
• Strong knowledge of CMS and SMS frameworks.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and agency guidelines.
• Excellent audit planning, execution and documentation skills.
• Experience working with customers and national aviation authorities.
• Collaborative approach to support technical services and global teams.
