Public Relations Manager – Rwanda

About the role

The Public Relations Manager will lead the development and execution of PR and communication strategies to strengthen the organization’s image and reputation across Rwanda. This senior position works closely with media, government bodies, partners and internal teams to ensure consistent, impactful messaging.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement public relations and communication plans that align with corporate objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, government authorities, partners and key stakeholders.
• Oversee branding, publicity campaigns and corporate communications, including press releases, speeches, presentations and official statements.
• Coordinate media interviews, press conferences and public events.
• Monitor public opinion, manage crisis communication and safeguard the organization’s reputation.
• Manage social media and other public communication channels.
• Support marketing and business development initiatives through strategic communication.
• Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
• Organize CSR activities and community engagement programs.
• Prepare PR reports and evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven experience in media relations and brand management.
• Excellent writing and content development skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
