Protection and Rule of Law Coordinator

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Ukraine is seeking a strategic leader to manage a multi‑donor, multi‑year Protection and Rule of Law (PRoL) portfolio. The role oversees access to justice, protection monitoring, information services, psychosocial support, and case management, ensuring interventions are context‑appropriate and aligned with national systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and technical quality across the full project cycle—from design to evaluation.
• Coordinate with IRC staff, partners, and donors to ensure cohesive, integrated programming.
• Develop multi‑sectoral interventions in partnership with other sector leads.
• Lead donor engagement, reporting, and compliance with international standards.
• Monitor and adapt the portfolio to meet evolving humanitarian needs and donor expectations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in emergency or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong diplomacy, coordination, and networking abilities.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with pragmatic problem‑solving skills.
• Previous change‑management experience preferred.
• Leadership capacity to foster innovative thinking within a local context.
