About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a qualified driver to operate its vehicle(s) in Makamba, Burundi. The driver will transport IOM staff, partners, and authorized goods safely and efficiently, supporting field operations and city travel.
Key responsibilities
- Drive IOM vehicle(s) and perform assigned transport tasks.
- Ensure the safety of passengers, cargo, and the vehicle while observing traffic rules.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belt, etc.) and report any defects.
- Maintain weekly vehicle status reports and share them with the Fleet Manager.
- Log fuel usage, oil changes, and mileage in the vehicle road log sheet.
- Assist in planning and controlling regular transport services.
- Handle accident reporting, inform supervisors, and obtain police reports.
- Collect and deliver mail and documents as directed.
- Refuel the vehicle as needed and keep it clean.

- Open to national candidates of Burundi only.
