Mid-Level Architectural Designer

About the role

Gensler is seeking a Mid-Level Architectural Designer to lead design development from concept through construction documentation. You will collaborate with senior design leaders and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality architectural solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with Design Director, Studio Director, Design Manager and design team to develop architectural solutions from concept to construction documents.
• Prepare conceptual designs, space plans, presentations and design development deliverables.
• Mentor and coach junior architectural staff.
• Lead coordination with design/technical teams, project managers, client teams, construction managers and consultants.
• Ensure quality control of design and construction documents and manage project program deliverables.
• Resolve complex design issues with innovative solutions.
• Support and implement sustainability targets, conduct climate‑focused analysis, and coordinate with sustainability consultants.
• Contribute to office initiatives, learning programs and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Architecture or Design (preferred).
• 5+ years of architecture and design experience across multiple building typologies.
• Strong creative and technical portfolio demonstrating original thinking.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles; LEED, WELL, Fitwel or similar accreditation preferred.
