About the role
We are looking for a meticulous Legal Assistant to join our remote legal team. The role involves providing comprehensive administrative and legal support, ensuring smooth case management and document preparation for US and UK jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents such as motions, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring accurate archiving.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, or PACER.
- Act as liaison between attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Manage legal calendars, scheduling depositions, hearings, and meetings.
- File documents with court systems and government agencies in compliance with legal standards.
- Handle telephone calls, email correspondence, and billing tasks.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or legal secretary in US or UK law.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a Paralegal Certification.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
