Junior Accountant

About the role

We are an international organisation looking for a Junior Accountant to support our finance team. The role focuses on day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and assisting with month‑end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage payments using online banking tools
• Record and process invoices
• Perform bank account reconciliations
• Reconcile customer and supplier statements
• Monitor petty‑cash balances and perform related reconciliations
• Review and follow up on employee expense claims
• Support period‑end closing activities, including accruals, pre‑payments and balance revaluations
• Assist the team in meeting financial reporting deadlines
• Prepare and gather documentation required for external audits

Required profile

• Previous exposure to accounting or finance functions (internship or apprenticeship)
• Academic background in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Organised, reliable and proactive approach
