Java Backend Engineer – Spring Boot (Onsite)

About the role

We are looking for a Java Backend Engineer with strong Spring Boot expertise to join our Lahore office. You will design, build, and maintain high‑performance, transaction‑heavy services that power critical business functions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Build robust RESTful APIs with proper versioning, validation, and error handling.
• Implement Clean Architecture principles and modular layered patterns.
• Design and optimise MySQL schemas, manage migrations with Liquibase, and ensure data integrity.
• Implement caching with Redis and asynchronous workflows using RabbitMQ.
• Apply security best practices with Spring Security and maintain logging, monitoring, and auditing.
• Work with Docker, Docker Compose, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, mobile, and DevOps teams and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Spring MVC, Spring Security, and REST API design.
• Advanced SQL skills with MySQL, including optimisation and indexing.
• Hands‑on experience with Liquibase, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, scalability, and system performance.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
