IT Compliance Manager

About the role

The Bank is seeking an experienced IT Compliance Manager to ensure end‑to‑end adherence to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations across IT, cybersecurity, outsourcing, data protection and digital banking. You will develop, implement and monitor policies, standards and controls while supporting system implementations and fostering a strong compliance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with SBP regulations, circulars, frameworks and guidelines related to IT and digital banking.
• Develop, review and keep up‑to‑date IT policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Conduct periodic IT system reviews, risk assessments, gap analyses and evaluate control effectiveness.
• Assess IT outsourcing and vendor arrangements to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, including audit rights and data security clauses.
• Identify, investigate and resolve IT compliance issues; monitor activities continuously and report status to stakeholders.
• Provide compliance input during system implementations, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and embed regulatory requirements.
• Represent the Compliance function in system development projects and ensure control requirements are incorporated.
• Follow up on internal audit and SBP observations to ensure timely closure.
• Lead compliance awareness training and mentor the compliance team.

Required profile

• Prior experience in IT compliance, IS audit or IT governance within a banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of SBP regulations and related IT, cybersecurity and data protection frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage a team effectively.
