Field Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a solutions‑driven Field Manager to lead and optimise the support functions of its field office. Reporting to the Field Coordinator, you will ensure high‑quality operational assistance for programme delivery, with a particular focus on liaising with Ukrainian authorities and removing implementation barriers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the field support teams covering Supply Chain, Administration, People & Culture, and Finance.
• Analyse and continuously improve supply‑chain, admin, finance and HR processes at the field level.
• Develop, review and adjust operational plans to align with the country Strategic Action Plan.
• Monitor compliance with IRC, donor and Ukrainian government policies for procurement and asset management.
• Participate in procurement committee meetings and provide strategic input for large‑scale purchases.
• Ensure warehouses are secure, equipped and ready for operations.
• Oversee fleet movements to maximise security, accountability and efficiency.
• Support admin officers and coordinate with programme managers to optimise operational support.
• Maintain effective liaison with Ukrainian governmental authorities, managing risks and removing barriers to implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary support teams in a humanitarian or development context.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, procurement, asset and fleet management.
• Ability to provide operational guidance throughout the project cycle.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with programme staff and government officials.
• Commitment to IRC’s mission and values.
