Delivery Manager

About the role

The Delivery Manager leads the delivery department, ensuring efficient, safe, and customer‑focused operations. This position oversees drivers, fleet performance, DOT compliance, scheduling, payroll, and training while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Administer general management tasks such as workers compensation, new‑hire interviewing, and safety training.
• Maintain driver attendance records, sick days, vacation, and payroll using time‑keeping software.
• Monitor the delivery fleet with Mobil Cast and ensure DOT safety and drug‑screening compliance.
• Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and delivery concerns to maintain a positive experience.
• Handle beverage alcohol products responsibly and address any delivery‑related issues.
• Support junior team members and coordinate their work as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication, diplomacy, and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently or in a team, and meet deadlines.
• Analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and presentation software.
• Experience using Mobil Cast fleet‑monitoring system.
