Corporate Business Executive (Mid‑Market)

About the role

The Corporate Business Executive will lead the acquisition and development of Mid‑Market clients for Scotiabank's Commercial Banking division in Mexico. You will design and execute strategies to attract new customers, ensure regulatory compliance, and build a profitable portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, contact, and onboard new Mid‑Market clients in collaboration with the Team Leader.
• Design and implement client‑attraction strategies aligned with commercial banking objectives.
• Conduct due‑diligence, financial statement analysis, and risk assessments to ensure safe credit granting.
• Manage and grow a portfolio, aiming to reach 40‑45 clients (20‑25 borrowers) and generate MXN 25‑30 million annual income within 2‑3 years.
• Promote Scotiabank’s product suite, coordinate transactions with product partners, and transfer clients to appropriate business lines.
• Monitor pipeline metrics, maintain monthly contact targets, and document new business opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial institution.
• Strong English proficiency (≈80% speaking, writing, listening).
• Demonstrated ability to work in an inclusive, high‑performance culture.
