Contract & Compliance Advisor

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Contract & Compliance Advisor to lead a dedicated contract management function within its Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI) division. This position will own the full contract lifecycle for donor‑issued contracts, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and effective administration across the U.S. network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle for selected active contracts, from pre‑award evaluation to close‑out.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify compliance vulnerabilities, coordinating mitigations with program and finance teams.
• Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and reporting deadlines to ensure timely, accurate donor reporting.
• Develop and maintain contract management policies, tools, and training materials to build organizational capacity.
• Collaborate with finance, program, and field office teams to align contract requirements with operational needs.
• Support donor communications and assist with contract negotiations as needed.

Required profile

• Solutions‑driven professional with a passion for humanitarian impact.
• Experience in contract management, compliance monitoring, and risk assessment, preferably within a non‑profit or NGO environment.
• Familiarity with U.S. federal funding streams such as WIOA and HHS.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
