Brewing Technician

About the role

As a Brewing Technician you will work across all areas of the brewery, learning from a talented crew while gaining hands‑on experience producing some of New Zealand’s most loved brands. You will play a key part in maintaining high quality, keeping shelves stocked and upholding the brewery’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Operate brewing, cider and ready‑to‑drink (RTD) production processes to world‑class standards.
• Collaborate with Planning, Inventory and Packaging teams to meet daily production targets.
• Perform quality checks and ensure the brewery meets safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with routine maintenance and support continuous‑improvement projects.
• Rotate across early brew, late brew, filtration and cellar shifts on a 4‑week rotating schedule.

Required profile

• Secondary education plus a relevant Level 4+ qualification or 2–3 years experience in FMCG or maintenance.
• Ability to work a 40‑hour week on a rotating shift pattern.
• Interest in brewing, biotechnology, engineering or continuous‑improvement methodologies is a plus.

Required skills

• Operating brewery production equipment.
• Quality control and inspection.
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of TPM, Lean or Six Sigma principles.
