Backend Developer (Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to design and maintain the core infrastructure that powers PilotFinance’s cross‑border payment, treasury management, and settlement operations. You will work on scalable, secure, and compliant systems that handle multi‑currency transactions across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend services using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
• Build APIs and microservices for cross‑border payments, FX processing, and settlement systems.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of backend systems.
• Implement secure transaction processing and financial data handling.
• Integrate with third‑party financial institutions, payment gateways, and banking APIs.
• Develop and manage multi‑currency ledger systems.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations such as KYC, AML, and audit trails.
• Optimize database performance and manage large‑scale transactional data.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to deliver seamless end‑to‑end solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and NestJS.
• Solid experience with TypeScript.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of system security and data protection.
