Associate Director, Foundations & Trusts

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking an Associate Director to lead its Foundations & Trusts portfolio in the United States. This senior fundraising position will manage existing foundation relationships, cultivate new prospects, and design partnership strategies that generate sustainable revenue and measurable humanitarian impact.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Co‑Senior Director of U.S. Foundations & Trusts and cross‑functional teams to shape high‑impact foundation partnerships aligned with IRC’s global priorities.
• Design and execute outreach, solicitation, and stewardship plans for a portfolio of U.S. foundations, including proposal development and partnership pitching.
• Identify, qualify, and cultivate new foundation prospects, maintaining a robust pipeline that supports strategic funding needs.
• Leverage data and donor management systems to strengthen relationships and track performance metrics.
• Mentor and lead members of the fundraising team, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative environment.

Required profile
