Adjunct Instructor – Mathematics & Statistics

About the role

Saint Louis University seeks qualified adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate courses in mathematics and statistics. The position involves delivering 2‑3 courses per semester, covering topics such as algebra, calculus, and introductory statistics with R software.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver in‑person lectures and classroom activities during regular business hours.
• Develop course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with departmental standards.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain office hours for student consultation.
• Collaborate with full‑time faculty on curriculum development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate mathematics or statistics courses.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusive education.
• Willingness to provide a letter of application, curriculum vitae, and two professional references.

Required skills
