Senior Accountant – European Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to ensure the accuracy, transparency and compliance of financial operations across our European entities. Based in Paris, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams, drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and support the transformation of our accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Record, verify, consolidate and reconcile transactions, ensuring integrity of accounting workflows.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close in close collaboration with the controlling team.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities: general‑ledger entries, account reconciliations, journal postings, AP/AR processing.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices, monitor billing schedules and reconcile billing data with accounting records.
• Assist in automating billing processes within SAP Business One and respond to invoice‑related queries.
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and internal policies; prepare tax filings and VAT declarations.
• Support external and internal audits by providing complete financial documentation.
• Recommend and implement best‑practice accounting policies and process improvements, leveraging SAP Business One integration.
• Liaise with the Financial Controlling department and mentor junior accountants.

Required profile

• Several years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance, operations and commercial teams.
• Senior‑level expertise in month‑end, year‑end and regulatory reporting.
