DESCRIPTION
Conduct functional roles related to Well Performance through the following:
Prognosis of well potentials from the results of well tests and interpretations provided by the Reservoir using the Prosper well model
Follow up on actual wells production or injection, while identifying well production shortfalls and analysing their origins
Co-ordinate reservoir, drilling/completion, and production multi-disciplinary expertise to propose curative actions for under-performing wells and quantifying the expected benefits
Schedule light well interventions considering production, drilling/completion and reservoir requirements and provide post-mortem analysis after corrective actions
Keep close contact with production operations to follow up on the day-to-day behaviour of the wells, and the implementation of necessary adjustments
Establish scope of requirements prior to any well completion or re-completion
Regular communications with the Well Performance engineering department (FP) in head office for technical support and feedback
Implement procedures for well start-up and clean-up and updating Well Performance indicators
Determine Well Metering frequency and final test data validation
Determine production allocation for each well
Ensure use of Prosper, IFM/IVM, MPG or equivalent models for Well Modelling to update well potential
Take responsibility for the Statement of requirements for Well Performance monitoring, mechanical survey, and scale removal along with the validation and interpretation of Well performance and integrity data
Take responsibility for SOR of Heavy Well maintenance for productivity reasons and provide an economical evaluation of Heavy well maintenance
Participate in the start-up of FCW (Full Control of Well) on the installations and ensure site (offshore) assistance to maintain usage of the system.
Optimize oil production via choke management and optimum gas lift injection
Design gas lift injection systems for valve change out in installed mandrels and well restart
Manage water and gas injection systems in cooperation with subsurface team
Be physically on site for well operations assistance
Participate in Sand Management for individual wells and field-wide
JOB REQUIREMENT
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
Professional experience of around 6 years in Oil & Gas production, including operational experience in reservoir, completion and stimulation or production
Good overview of the different parameters affecting the performance of a well, from the reservoir to the surface utilities
