The Vacancy
Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Team Lead - Community Based Activities to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria.
The TLCBA will operate with a national scope as a member of the core team and will report to the Senior Malaria Expert. The postholder will provide expertise (guidance and technical support, training, coaching and management) support to the program team on social and behaviour change communication (SBCC) interventions, and other areas where the expertise in strategic communication is required on the IMPACT Project
The successful candidate will have:
Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (public health/epidemiology/medicine/nursing/parasitology/tropical medicine) with minimum of 7 years of experience;
Demonstrated experience of planning and management of malaria programming in developing countries including Nigeria. Experience from African countries will be an asset;
Deep experience with community-based approaches for malaria prevention and control include and behaviour change communication in accordance with the most current national protocols.
Familiarity with analytical tools and ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical approaches for operational work; and
Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English. Knowledge of other Nigerian languages will be an asset.

This role is conditional of Malaria Consortium securing funding for this role.
Due to the nature of this role we will be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis and the role might be filled and closed before the closing date. Early applications are encouraged.
This is a fixed term contract for the period of 2 years.
