About this opportunity
We are now looking for a Production Quality Engineer to execute production quality activities for new and volume products of printed circuit boards. The quality engineer will perform the role with a full product and process quality responsibility, set up and maintain overall quality assurance and control processes, methods and tools, look after the quality issues/tasks, improve product and process performance, control the risks, guarantee the factory output with the performance complied with both Ericsson and customer quality standards.
What you will do
You will manage production performance as collecting data, analyzing, checking, modifying and implementing/updating production processes, methods and tools
Works with Product and Process Engineering in coordinating the release of new products ensuring Yield of printed circuit boards (PCB) meets the KPI targets
Ensures all quality and control point verifications are set up to drive continuous process improvement for production of Radios and Basebands along with test station yield improvements
Drive root cause analysis for quality defects and failures of final assembly products in manual and automated FA areas for allocated product lines.
Co-ordinated for process flow and DFMEA/PFMEA deployment as well as own the control plan for production quality verification
Work to improve the productivity and quality of PCB and Mechanical Assembly builds
Set up and enforce quality acceptance criteria for acceptance of new production equipment and repair work for Radio & Baseband products in trouble shooting area.
Prepare DFM for design teams and PQL teams for new product launch,
Troubleshoot process defects and drive toward problem resolution
Attend quality meetings and drive quality issues for improved higher yields
Participate in ongoing and new tooling, materials, or equipment qualification.
Participate in ongoing and new process improvement projects (could be cost, time, and/or quality driven). Make recommendations based off findings and drive implementation efforts.
Collaborate with product design and development to ensure that processes and designs are compatible and support the DFT (Test) philosophy
Set up and run monthly process audits with effective enforcement of process controls and escalating nonconformance on timely manner.
You will bring
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electronics or Electrical Engineering
Min years of experience: 3 yrs
Domain experience: Relevant course work and internship experience in quality engineering
Previous experience/knowledge of SMA process
Root cause analysis knowledge and experience
Manufacturing quality verification knowledge
Ability to learn Statistical Process Control, Gage R&R verification, Poka Yoke, 8D problem solving tools
Experience in project management
Background and knowledge in quality management methods, tools (i.e. 6 Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, FMEA etc.)
Solid experience on statistical analysis and data handling
Good communication and presentations skills. Lead and present data analytics in understandable way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Initiative/Proactive ability, result oriented, critical thinking and problem solving ability
Promote, understand, and strictly adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality guidelines without deviation.
Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt
This role reports directly to the Product Quality Leader
