Busara is a leading behavioral science organization in the Global South, where we apply behavioral science to help alleviate poverty through advisory work and original academic research.
We are a non-profit organization based in Nairobi, Kenya, and have offices and projects across the Global South. We also run the most extensive behavioral science research lab in the world, including mobile labs and partnerships with universities worldwide.

Our collaboration extends to private sector partners, philanthropic organizations, and regulatory entities as we explore avenues to improve individuals' educational well-being. We most often do this by:
Understanding contexts - We design and implement research initiatives to gain a comprehensive understanding of markets, ecosystems, and the various stakeholders that shape them. Crucially, we delve into the nuanced perspectives, behaviors, needs, and realities of individuals in low-income settings.
Informing strategy - We leverage knowledge and insights to work alongside our partners to determine optimal strategies that enhance markets and add value to the lives of low-income individuals.
Develop & iterate products - Through the application of Behavioral and Human-Centered Design approaches, we collaborate with our partners and end-users to create tailored prototypes for educational products that optimize learning outcomes and foster educational well-being.
Role Purpose Statement:
The Senior Analyst supports the advisory and arm of Busara in making informed decisions and setting priorities on projects.
The Senior Analyst will be expected to have accurate knowledge of a situation, a market, an issue, or a social context that is often useful in accessing project parameters.
The Senior Analyst will engage in a variety of research activities both qualitative and quantitative and will be required to support research preparation. The Senior Analyst will be tasked with research preparation, structuring, and ultimately composing reports, deliverables, and analysis on ongoing projects, in close coordination with the Associates. S/he will also be responsible for sensitive and delicate client interactions, and final project outputs, requiring extreme attention to detail and dedication to high-quality outputs.
