We are searching for a motivated and energetic individual that will be reporting directly to the Head of Insurance Risk Management for Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa region. The Insurance Risk Manager (IRM) will provide support to the Insurance Risk Management team and advice to internal and external stakeholders. We are a small global and distributed team, so collaboration and an open demeanor are of great importance. You will have to be prepared to handle all sorts of matters, from sophisticated risk mitigation matters and claims discussions to more administrative tasks.
What you will do
Review and negotiate insurance clauses and provisions in contracts, with suppliers, vendors, landlords, and customers.
Assist in the renewal of the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa region insurance programs which includes acquiring, compiling, analyzing, and submitting information for insurance coverage.
Responsible for insurance claims handling including reporting, reserve, and resolution.
Inspect and review insurance policies for accuracy.
Assist with other duties as determined by Head of Insurance Risk Management.
You will bring
7-12 years combined experience in global corporate insurance/risk management, insurance company, or insurance brokerage environment.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Insurance or equivalent or relevant Chartered Insurance qualifications
Proficient in written and spoken English. Other languages are an added advantage.
Experience with more than one line of insurance, including property damage, cyber liability, marine cargo, and construction is a must.
Experience in commercial contract reviews and understanding of indemnification and liability clauses in a contract is a must.
Experience in claims management would be a strong asset.
Ability to work in a multinational, multicultural, and multilingual environment.
Must be able to work independently and in a team.
