Engineer - VAS (Linux Admin)

Handling VAS Operations and maintaining service availability for VAS nodes with proper work focus for Alarm handling, support Hardware/software/configuration related issues, configuration of all Nodes pertaining to VAS domains and emergency handling/outage Support for VAS and IMS nodes/products/network.

What you will do
Be part of a team handling specific VAS Network activities associated with Mobile GSM (2G,3G,4G) Network.
GSM Knowledge and call flows of EMA/EDA, EMM, Multi Mediation, Provisioning gateway, Multi activation, CDR processing knowledge
Administrating VAS and Support Systems, Preventive & Corrective Maintenance. Planned Maintenance (Health Checks, Backups etc.)
Understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (Diameter, MAP, SCTP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP, HTTP, DNS) Troubleshooting of Hardware and storage devices.
Problem Critical issues and Follow-ups (CSR). Performance Analysis & Investigation. Work with Customer, 3PP and Ericsson Departments. Ensure smooth and quality system/service handover from Project.
Troubleshooting/Fault finding/RCA in configuration/hardware/software.
Outage/emergency reporting, Alignment to Processes. To undertake any other reasonable task as assigned.
You will bring
Education: B.E / B.Tech. in Electronics & Communications with experience: 3-5 years
