Description
Develop, enforce and monitor RPAS maintenance standards maintain a record of RPAS defects and any unserviceability
Ensure that specialist equipment items including payload equipment are serviceable
Maintain a thorough technical knowledge of RPAS operating under the authority of the ROC
Ensure maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with the procedures detailed in the relevant RPAS section of the RPAS Operational Library.
Investigate all significant defects in the RPAS as required by the Chief Engineer
Other roles as assigned by the Lead UAV Technician.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Higher National Diploma in a relevant field such as aviation technology, electronics, or mechatronics.
Strong technical skills or experience in working with UAVs, electronics, and/or avionics,
Skilled in Unmanned Aerial Systems Engineering and Maintenance, Aircraft Standard Maintenance Practicesminimum of 3 years
Skilled in UAV Assembly and Maintenance.
Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of computers
Installing and configuration of UAV avionics and payload for a fixed-wing, VTOL, and rotary drone
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Internal Piloting.
Experienced in flight line operations and safety
Skilled in automation systems design and implementation for aerospace and industrial applications.
Hand-eye coordination
Robust problem-solving abilities
Excellent electronic and mechanical skills
Expertise in multitasking
Keen attention to details
