Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracts

About the role

ScorePlay is an AI‑powered sports media platform. The Commercial Contracts Counsel will own contract redlining, negotiation and execution, working directly with the General Counsel and supporting the Sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Review, redline and negotiate commercial agreements (MSAs, service agreements, order forms, SOWs, NDAs, DPAs) with clubs, leagues, broadcasters and brands across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, RevOps and Customer Success to ensure contract terms align with pricing, booking and delivery.
• Assist with vendor and partner agreements and help refine the legal playbook based on real‑world negotiations.
• Leverage AI tools for drafting, first‑pass reviews and summarising counter‑party terms, continuously seeking smarter processes.
• Support privacy and security efforts, including responding to customer security, privacy and due‑diligence questionnaires and handling DPA and international data transfer issues.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of in‑house experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Ability to work autonomously, provide quick pragmatic solutions and make decisions with ~80% certainty.
• Resourceful and proactive in finding information and resolving unclear points without waiting for perfect instructions.
• Enthusiastic about supporting Sales teams and comfortable participating in sales calls with senior stakeholders.
• Interest in using AI to improve legal workflows.
