Insurance Legal Counsel

About the role

Alan is building a new standard in prevention insurance and needs a legal professional to guide regulatory and business matters as the company scales. As an Insurance Legal Counsel you will work within the Corporate team, supporting product, business and care functions while ensuring compliance with French and international insurance regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments affecting Alan’s insurance products (e.g., ACPR guidelines, health and disability insurance rules).
• Translate regulatory obligations into operational tools, processes and internal policies.
• Support responses to inspections, audits and compliance reporting to regulators.
• Assist in RFP responses, contractual negotiations with clients, partners and prospects.
• Help design product features that meet regulatory requirements while enhancing member experience.
• Develop internal legal frameworks, templates and decision‑making guidelines, and determine when to use external counsel.
• Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and scale legal operations.

Required profile

• Legal degree with a focus on insurance, health, or financial services law.
• Experience interpreting and applying French insurance regulations; international exposure is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical business solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with product, business and care teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ACPR guidelines and health/disability insurance regulations.
• Experience drafting contracts, RFP responses and compliance documentation.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted legal research tools.
