Head of Insurance Legal Counsel

About the role

Alan is building a new standard in prevention insurance and needs a senior legal leader to shape its regulatory strategy. As Head of Insurance Legal Counsel you will own the company’s insurance compliance posture, influence regulators, and protect the business while ensuring a seamless member experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute Alan’s regulatory strategy, turning constraints into competitive advantages.
• Translate regulatory obligations into operational tools, lead inspections, and report compliance risks to the board.
• Maintain productive relationships with insurance regulators and collaborate with public affairs.
• Act as the legal voice in strategic business discussions, respond to RFPs, and lead complex negotiations with prospects and large accounts.
• Guide product teams to meet regulatory requirements while enhancing pricing, UX, and complaints management.
• Oversee international insurance compliance and ensure legal autonomy across markets.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a senior insurance legal counsel or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of French and European insurance regulations.
• Proven ability to influence regulators and shape compliance frameworks.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience handling high‑value contracts.
• Strategic mindset with the capacity to turn legal constraints into business opportunities.
