Group Financial Controller

About the role

Mistral is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead accounting accuracy, compliance, and financial reporting across its global AI operations. Reporting to the Group Accounting Director, you will partner with internal control, tax, and audit teams to ensure robust financial controls and high‑quality statements.

Key responsibilities

• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and intercompany transactions for IFRS and French GAAP compliance.
• Support the Accounting Ops Lead in month‑end close and record‑to‑report processes.
• Design and enforce control frameworks, including segregation of duties and approval workflows.
• Act as primary liaison with Big 4 auditors during statutory audits.
• Prepare audit‑ready consolidated and statutory financial statements for all Group entities.
• Collaborate with the Tax team on VAT, corporate, and payroll tax compliance.
• Approve balance‑sheet reconciliations, P&L analyses, and variance reports.
• Monitor key controls to prevent errors, fraud, or misstatements.
• Produce management reporting packages and ad‑hoc financial analyses for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of finance experience, including Big 4 audit exposure.
• Proven track record in statutory audits, financial due diligence, and high‑growth tech environments.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS; French GAAP experience is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4 and advanced Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑moving, international setting.
